On Dec. 2nd, Liao Huaying, the director of the School of Foreign Languages, East China University of Technology (ECUT), led a group of five and visited JXUFE. A symposium on suggestions for Japanese discipline construction was held thereafter, hosted by professor Ye Weihua, the director of our School of Foreign Languages, JXUFE. Japanese teachers from Department of Asian-European Languages participated.
Professor Yan Xinping, director of Department of Asian-European Languages, made an elaborated introduction of Japanese discipline in JXUFE on teaching faculty, talent-cultivating characteristics, international teaching and study, extra-curricular classrooms, etc. On the symposium, both sides exchanged their ideas on Japanese discipline construction from angles of enrollment, employment, development, educational experiences, teaching faculty construction, etc. Both sides expressed their wishes to advocate further exchange between teachers and students from two universities, to give full play to geographical advantages, share teaching and research resources, practice platforms, therefore to promote common improvement in Japanese discipline construction in both ECUT and JXUFE.
