Japanese Majors’ Exceptional Performance in the 11th Session of Japanese Composition Contest

Recently, the results of the Eleventh Session of Japanese Composition Contest for Chinese People have been revealed. The College of Foreign Studies has given exceptional performance among numerous well-known universities, with Zhang Qiong, a Japanese Major student enrolled in 2012 standing out from the competition of 4,749 students and winning the third prize.

This contest is hosted by the Duan Press, the Center for China-Japan Exchange Studies and co-organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Embassy of Japan in China, People.com under People’s Daily, China-Japan Friendship Association, and other organizations. It has been its 11th session and is also the most influential composition contest in Japaneses. The contest has been given the publicity and high regards from NKH, Yomiuri Shimbun, and Asahi Shimbun on many occasions. Every year, the award-winning works will be compiled into a book before publication and distribution in Japan and they are well acclaimed by the media and readers from both China and Japan.
